The Colorado Avalanche announced today that Captain Gabriel Landeskog has been activated from Injured Reserve. Landeskog has not played an NHL game since June 2022.

Now that he's been activated to the active roster, this means there is a very real chance he could play in Monday's Game 2 against the Dallas Stars.
This news comes after forward Ross Colton left Saturday's game during the third period after suffering a lower-body injury. It is unclear when he sustained the injury, but Head Coach Jared Bednar said this morning that he still doesn't feel good and will likely not play.
Colton only played one shift in Saturday's third period, a 15-second-long shift just a minute and a half after the period started. He was not seen on the bench after that.
Landeskog made his return to professional hockey on April 11th with the Colorado Eagles, AHL affiliate of the Avalanche, on a conditioning stint. He played in both games for the Eagles that weekend, totaling 2 points (1 goal/1 assist).
