The wait is over — the NCAA softball tournament has arrived, and the first round of regional play will get started on Friday.

While many of the usual suspects are top-ranked yet again, some upsets in conference tournaments have placed powerhouses lower than expected. Alabama edged out the competition for the No. 1 overall seed, despite losing to Texas in the SEC championship game. The Longhorns follow close behind in the No. 2 slot, and then Oklahoma at No. 3.

The bracket kicks off with double-elimination regional round play on Friday, continuing until Sunday. 16 regionals will be held in host cities across the country, from Los Angeles to Norman, Oklahoma and Tallahassee, Florida.

Who will start the tournament off with a win?

Here's everything you need to know about the NCAA softball regional round, including TV channel and streaming options for each game on Friday.
