A week ago, the 2026 NCAA Baseball Tournament began with 64 teams holding on to national championship dreams, some more realistic than others.

Now, after a frenetic handful of days, only 16 teams remain, with one step separating them from the biggest, brightest stage in the sport.

The super regional round of this year’s NCAA tournament begins this week, with eight best-of-three series taking place across the country. The winner of each of those matchups will advance to the 2026 College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, where they’ll be in line to compete for an NCAA title.

The tournament has already offered its share of excitement and surprising results. The top two national seeds, No. 1 UCLA and No. 2 Georgia Tech, were both upset in the regional round. No. 8 Florida, No. 9 Southern Miss, No. 10 Florida State, No. 12 Texas A&M and No. 13 Nebraska all failed to advance to the super regionals.

It has led to some interesting super regional matchups, as well.

Where are college baseball super regionals?​


The super regional stage of the NCAA baseball tournament is held at campus venues, with the higher-seeded team in the assorted best of three series serving as the host.

Here’s a look at where the eight super regional series will be taking place:

  • Athens Super Regional: Foley Field in Athens, Georgia (host school: Georgia)
  • Auburn Super Regional: Plainsman Park in Auburn, Alabama (host school: Auburn)
  • Chapel Hill Super Regional: Boshamer Stadium in Chapel Hill, North Carolina (host school: North Carolina)
  • Austin Super Regional: UFCU Disch-Falk Field in Austin, Texas (host school: Texas)
  • Tuscaloosa Super Regional: Sewell-Thomas Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama (host school: Alabama)
  • Lawrence Super Regional: Hoglund Ballpark in Lawrence, Kansas (host school: Kansas)
  • Morgantown Super Regional: Wagener Field at Kendrick Family Ballpark in Morgantown, West Virginia (host school: West Virginia)
  • Troy Super Regional: Riddle-Pace Field in Troy, Alabama (host school: Troy)
