PALM BEACH GARDENS — Pack the raingear if a trip to the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches in on your scheduled for the third round.
The tournament, held at PGA National, has had its share of bad weather through the years, but that has been limited with the event being held during the dry season.

But the weekend forecast is a mixture with a chance of thunderstorms exceeding 50 percent from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. for Round 3, according to the Weather Channel, and peaking at close to 80 percent at 5 p.m. Temperatures are expected to be in the high 70s to low 80s.
That all should clear for the final round with the rain chances dropping dramatically, winds shifting from the north and cooler temperatures.
With the front on the way, golfers teeing off in the afternoon during the second round were preparing for the possibility of rain with a better than 50 percent at 5 p.m.
