The Chicago Bears are hoping to make another jump this year, but they may have to deal with an injury to one of their biggest offseason additions.
Safety Coby Bryant needed to be helped off the field during practice on Monday after suffering a lower-body injury. Bryant signed a multi-year deal with the Bears in March after winning a Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks last season.
For the Bears' defense to take a step forward, Bryant's health is crucial in the secondary. Therefore, Bryant missing any amount of time would be a tough loss for Chicago heading into the 2026 season.

Coby Bryant injury update
Coby Bryant left practice on Monday after appearing to injure his left leg during a drill. The injury seemed to happen as Bryant and tight end Cole Kmet were competing against each other in a 1-on-1 drill.
Bryant needed to be carted off the field and was "emotional" after the injury occurred.
Not good. Coby Bryant just went down grabbing his left knee during a 1-on-1 rep vs Cole Kmet. He was clearly emotional as he got on a cart under his own power.
