This reminds me of the old SNL skit, where a kid hears something in the closet and calls for his dad. It's Garrett Morrison as a handy man coming to get his tools. The boy goes back to bed and hears noises again, and it another stupid thing. Finally the last noise he hears, before calling for his dad, he sees a Jason type character in the closet. His dad gives that tone of if I have to go in there, and the boy just says it's nothing and puts the sheet over his head.
