Hi everyone, this is my first time posting. I have ust a few opinions that I want to share. In light of the fact that the scoreboard said the game was a 38-0 drubbing, I think the game was a lot closer. We moved the ball well only to kill our drives with turnovers and mental breakdowns. Also, with the complete absence of a pass rush, the Seattle offense really didn't do that well against our defense. I would have never believed at the beginning of the year that I would be saying that the coaching staff is the Achilles heel of this football team. McGinnis can shove all that "emotion" mumbo jumbo. He is a coach that shows no signs of making any adjustments. It seems like McGinnis has a gameplan written in stone. We rush four, no pressure. I may have missed a couple of plays, but I don't think we rushed more than four men the whole game. Why?!!!!!!! I'm having flashbacks of Vince Tobin stubbornness. Wait a second, guess who brought McGinnis to the Cards. Football is a dynamic game and at times calls for adjustments to your gameplan. These adjustments are not being made. Changes need to be made on the sidelines more urgently than on the roster.

I just want to clarify that I don't think McGinnis should be fired. By saying changes on the sidelines I mean that McGinnis needs to make changes more readily during, and after, gametime.

Hey conrad, I posted my reply right after yours without reading yours. I know we can't blitz eight men every play a la Buddy Ryan, but why can't we do it a couple of times to keep them guessing?

Let me guess before reading anything.

Who should all be fired. For being for fraud. I was told a football team was located in Arizona somewhere. I was lied to.

That was awful!

Top to bottom this organization should be on the hotseat. Fire them all ! Let some Vegas company buy them!

:stupid:

I was just refering to the fact that at the Detroit game they said they stole our blitz signals I was just joshing ya.

Really I thought the game got out of hand so quick that they never had time to do anything I mean it was like 12 yards and 14 points so by that time Blake got hurt and I think the staff threw in the towel.

I agree we need to send as many people as possible. blitz blitz blitz.

It's an all or nothing strategy but watching our DB's cover for 5 or 6 seconds is not a great alternative.

We need to do something to get some men in the backfield. No corner in the history of the NFL could cover a receiver for as long as the opposition's QB's are getting. This is a bold statement, but I think Plummer could go a whole game against our D without throwing an Int.

on one of the pregame shows...I think someone (steve young perhaps) was defending mike martz for the rams by stating that 90% of the coaches in the NFL are way too conservative when calling offensive plays - and he was saying offensive guys love to play for a guy like martz because he is extremely aggressive...

Martz was a retread who had been around and had never done much - but when he was the OC for the rams he had some stars and started being about he most aggressive play caller in the league...I am not sure why alot of guys (OC's) have not started being more aggressive...

As it relates to the cardinals: with Tobin - we at least had a reputation for comebacks - in part due to jake spotting the other team a few tds and then rallying back in the 4th quarter....to me this means we were making some adjustments at halftime...we are no longer a comeback team..

under mac we have become a team the gets worse as the game goes on ..there seem to be no adjustments at all..with mccown - right now he probably has one of the fastest 40 times of all the qbs in the league...seattle used to always kill us with a bootleg..why not run it? they would not expect it. I swear the reverse with boldin would have been open a few times today..but instead we call that bonehead pitchout to emmitt..they were keying on emmitt and snuffed it - he fumbled the ball - but within a split second there were seahawks all around...

today was extremely vanilla - all the way around...

Pinnacle, did you think the Cards were telegraphing their running plays today? They were all very slow developing runs. No quick hits to the holes. Again, I ask why?

I think the original point Ohio makes is about adjustments and about basic coaching.

I saw one game last year where they did blitz all the time after half time at the Rams game and almost won.

But alas this giant leap forward was squashed by horrible time management.

I am willing to give Sullivan credit in that he seems to have no problem moving the ball. I like his basic ideas a lot.

He should however know as a former recievers coach to not get the WR killed.

To be fair who knows who's screwing up but I like the offensive schemes now the execution is just really bad.
