I appreciate his enthusiasm and energy, but he cant coach- Flat out he is a horrible defensive coach and was never creative in the use of his players- I think the players are sick of his ra ra approach and dont play hard for him anymore- they have no belief in the ownership that we will ever get any better- they are over it like we are

Some of the players believe that a winning attitude starts with them.

It's called personal accountability and some of our vets believe it. Now we just need them to translate that into a win.

Have you been in the locker room recently?
What pipeline are you connected to that enables you to tell us all what all the players are thinking?

I just dont buy that at all! I think the players love Mac and need to step up and prove it.. The biggest concern in all this 'dump Mac' talk is who the hell ya goona get to coach the team?

Being realistic, not one 'name' coach would come to Phx and try to 'turn it around' The only thing would be to promote form within or get a 'second-tier' college coach.

Im basing it on performace and just becasue players like a coach doesnt mean that is good? Name one players coach who has suceeded? they just dont suceed- you need to keep them on the edge-

I was saying that players dont buy into ra ra stuff- it works for awhile and then it becomes annoying and over the top- MAc cant coach, his players are out of position and dont play to level of excellence that NFL players should- this is a far more talented team than Cinncy and Chicago but they both will finish better than the Card- just watch as the players will give up

I was basing my answer to you on facts not assumptions but was being polite.

I get to talk to the players and there are a number who are bound and determines to change the attitude there. There is also an implication there that there is an attitude to change.

Dexter was quite clear that earlier in the year at mini camp he felt that there was not enough energy in the practices, he planned to change that. He also planed to change the attitudes of some of the players. It sounds to me like Emmit and Jeff Balke feel the same way.

As for Mac, you have no idea how he is with the players, he just keeps it private rather than airing the dirty laundry in public. This does not mean he doesn't hold people accountable.
