Even while fighting for first place in the American League Central division, it’s never too early for the Cleveland Guardians to think about – next year – with the home opener slated for Thursday, April 1 against the New York Yankees.
It's the fifth time Cleveland has had a home opener against the Bronx Bombers.
The team will open the season on the road for six games against the Chicago Cubs on March 25-27 and travel to Detroit after for two series where the weather will likely be balmy and tropical.
The team released the 2027 schedule Thursday, July 17 and it breaks down accordingly:
The Guardians get seven weekend series next season including the always tasty July 4th holiday when they will take on the Minnesota Twins. The entire list:
Although most months are fairly balanced with respect to home and road games, July will be especially fun for fans as the team will have 15 games at Progressive Field:
A couple of notes related to scheduling:
The team’s longest homestand – 10 games – runs from July 26-Aug. 3 and is balanced by their longest road trip – 10 games – begins Sept. 10 and ends Sept. 19.
