Cleveland Browns QB Depth Chart: Where does Shedeur Sanders fit in?

Shedeur Sanders' agonizing NFL Draft wait is finally over. On Saturday, the Cleveland Browns finally drafted the former Colorado star in the fifth round. It's a perplexing pick, given the timing and the Browns' other picks, but one that may well pay off for the franchise in due time.

But Sanders being thrown into the mix in Cleveland raises an important question: just where the heck does he slot into the Browns' quarterback depth chart? Because, objectively, Cleveland has a pretty absurd quarterback room on paper. Here's one good guess at where Sanders will initially fit based on his draft selection:

• Starter: Deshaun Watson
• QB2: Joe Flacco
• QB3: Kenny Pickett
• QB4: Dillion Gabriel
• QB5: Shedeur Sanders

Of course, this presumes the Browns will actually keep everyone here through training camp. No NFL team carries five quarterbacks once the regular season is in full swing. That would be silly and a poor roster construction process. So, the opportunity is theoretically there for Sanders to skyrocket and position himself for a job.

He just has to have a really good summer to do it.
