Clemson is seeing another notable name enter the transfer portal, this time with one of the most highly regarded young players from its roster.
Freshman infielder Jason Fultz has entered the portal after one season with Clemson baseball. His decision adds another layer to an active offseason for the Tigers, especially given the expectations that followed him to campus.
Fultz stepped into a significant role during his freshman season, appearing in 40 games while making 34 starts at third base. He hit .231 with a home run, four doubles, a triple and 13 RBIs, while picking up valuable experience against ACC competition.
He arrived at Clemson as one of the most decorated signees in his class. Perfect Game ranked him No. 119 overall nationally and among the top third basemen in the country coming out of high school. That profile made him a player many believed could grow into a cornerstone piece for Clemson over the next several seasons.
Now, he’ll look for that next opportunity elsewhere, bringing plenty of upside and long-term potential with him as he explores the next step in his college career.
