ESPN put out an article ranking every Power Four program in college football, and Clemson cracked the top 25, coming in at 22nd.

The article called Clemson’s QB situation a “step backward,” and cited the nine players lost in the draft. The Tigers have recently revived what was a fairly dormant recruiting class, with some massive signings this summer.

Like every year, there is talent in Clemson’s quarterback room. They have highly rated pieces, we’ve seen flashes of some solid play and there’s a lot of opportunity… it comes down to development and execution. Maybe Christopher Vizzina does come out in 2026 red hot and shock everyone.

In terms of star power, ESPN pointed to Tyler Brown, Will Heldt, TJ Moore, and Bryant Wesco. While the quarterback position is in question, the receiving core is without a doubt among the best in the nation.

Coming in at 22nd, Clemson ranks just behind Floridia (20th) and Iowa (21st), and just ahead of Louisville (23rd) and Washington (24th). They are the third ranked ACC team, behind SMU (19) and Miami (6). Lets hope they can prove the list wrong, and come out of 2027 at the top of their conference.
