May 28—JAMESTOWN — There will be plenty to watch at McElroy Park this weekend.
Jamestown is set to serve as the host site for the 2026 Class B Baseball and Softball Tournaments. Both tournaments are set to be held May 28-30. The baseball tournament will be held at Jack Brown Stadium, while the softball games are slated to be held at Lyle "Trapper" Lawrence Field.
The softball tournament will start with a quarterfinal between second-seeded Velva-Drake/Anamoose and Glenburn at 11 a.m. Thursday. Baseball will kick things off at 11:30 a.m. Thursday with a matchup between Park River and Shiloh Christian.
The softball state championship game will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Baseball will hold its championship at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
For the fourth time in a row, Jamestown will be playing in the NDHSAA Girls Soccer State Tournament.
The fourth-seeded Blue Jays have got a date with top-ranked Fargo Shanley on May 28 at Bismarck's Sanford Sports Complex. The match is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. The tournament is scheduled to run May 28-30.
