We know that next April's draft will be on the national mall in Washington D.C. It will, in all likelihood, draw much better than the Great American State Fair is doing right now, in the same location. As we learned in May, Minneapolis is hosting the draft in 2028.
As for 2029, it is Cincinnati that has the "inside track" for hosting the event.
That's according to both Sports Business Journal and the Cincinnati Enquirer. Cincy was reportedly in the running to host in 2028, along with Buffalo, who are understood to be their main competition for hosting in 2029.
The draft is the perfect event for NFL cities that will never host the Super Bowl because they're not in a warmer climate or don't have a dome. New York City hosted every draft from 1965 to 2014, with Radio City Music Hall serving as the host venue from 2006-2014. Chicago hosted the first two drafts, once it began rotating, in 2015 and 2016.
