The NASCAR Truck Series competed at Bristol Motor Speedway and it was a thrilling event. Christian Eckes won Stage 1 while Ben Rhodes won Stage 2; however, neither driver was able to enter victory lane. Instead, it was a Halmar Friesen Racing driver from the NASCAR Cup Series that got it done.
Christopher Bell and the No. 62 team for Halmar Friesen won the Truck Series race at Bristol on Friday night, earning their first victory of the 2026 NASCAR season. Bell, who has been close to victory lane with Halmar Friesen Racing, held off Chandler Smith in the closing laps of the event.
The biggest moment came when Corey Heim wrecked after Christian Eckes misjudged his turn left. Heim, who moved Eckes two times prior to the incident, was looking for his third straight NASCAR win on Friday. Instead, it was Bell and the No. 62 team for Stewart Friesen that got it done at Bristol.
