Well nice to get one of the highly recruited Arizona O-lineman back.

I assume unless Auburn gets hits with big sanctions, he'll have to sit out a year, with 2 more to play. Hopefully he kills it in the weight room and makes a big impact once he can play.

From ASUDevils.com twitter:

"The Westerman transfer is not official. We didn't say he signed. We reported he was going to transfer. Needs Auburn release and it'll happen. "

"Can't imagine Auburn refusing release with new coaching transition, possibility of sanctions. That would be nearly unprecedented."

Per the Azcentral.com article, he would be able to play for ASU NEXT YEAR... IF Auburn gets put on probation.

Bordow wrote a little editorial on how Westerman's decision to transfer to ASU (still in progress), shows AZ kids that the lights and glamour of the SEC may not be all they are cracked up to be due to possible lack of playing time and distance from home (family & friends). Hopefully this serves as an inadvertant recruiting tool to get some of our blue chippers to stay in state.
