Christian Lundgaard must look for a new home. On Monday, Arrow McLaren announced that Scott Dixon and Felix Rosenqvist will join Pato O'Ward in the driver lineup during the 2027 NTT IndyCar Series season. This means Lundgaard and Nolan Siegel were pushed out of their seats at McLaren.

This is a shocking move, as the driver of the No. 7 car sits third in the point standings with two wins in 2026. Lundgaard has been the best McLaren driver during the 2026 IndyCar season, making this a baffling decision. Dixon is a six-time IndyCar champion, but he hasn't been at the top of his game over the last few seasons.

Now, Lundgaard is out of a ride, but that won't last long. Several organizations, such as Chip Ganassi Racing and Meyer Shank Racing, are looking for new drivers in 2027. While Lundgaard didn't do anything to lose his seat at McLaren, it is a disappointing development, and he will be a hot commodity moving forward.
