New England Patriots defensive linemen Christian Barmore and Milton Williams are quite the duo.
They have anchored the Patriots’ defensive line in 2025. The two combined for 12 tackles for loss in the regular season. Both rank No. 2 on the team with two tackles for loss in the playoffs. Barmore has one sack, while Williams has two. The disruption they cause to opposing quarterbacks has been lionized by NFL greats, past and present.
According to the Boston Herald’s Zack Cox, Barmore stated at Super Bowl week that he relishes in his defensive assignments along with Williams on a weekly basis.
“Me and him, we come in hungry. We’re like lions. We come to hunt,” Barmore said. “And the whole D-line. Our goal is to dominate every time we’re out there. It doesn’t matter who it is. … Just another day to line up and kick ass.”
Barmore and Williams bring pressure. Barmore (13.6 percent) and Williams (12.4 percent) ranked No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, in pressure rate among all defensive tackles in the NFL this season. Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold is expected to face much pressure from the duo that will be on the hunt in the Super Bowl on Sunday.
