Remember the viral ice bucket challenge back in 2014 as celebrities, athletes and everyone else was dumping icy water over their heads and nominating their pals to do it, all in the name of charity?

It's back yet again after it made another run in 2025, and it's because of former NFL running back Chris Johnson, who revealed his ALS diagnosis and posted on Instagram that he wants to bring back the challenge to raise more money and awareness for ALS research.

Here are the initial videos starring his daughter, as well as former USC star LenDale White and ex-NFL RB Marshawn Lynch. Hopefully this is the beginning of the challenge and the money it raises going viral again.

What is the ALS Ice Buck Challenge?

It's fairly simple. Fill up a bucket or container of any kind with ice and water and dump in on your head or have someone dump it there. Then? Challenge others to do it, and they'll do the same and include a link for donations. There you go!
