The Kansas City Chiefs need to add some explosion to their offense in the 2026 NFL Draft, and Georgia State Panthers wide receiver Ted Hurst could be just the type of prospect who could help Andy Reid lead his team back to the Super Bowl next season.

A tall and speedy pass-catcher, Hurst recorded 127 receptions for 1965 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns in his two-season tenure at Georgia State. Standing six-foot-four, Hurst ran a 4.42-second 40-yard dash at the combine in April, and should hear his name called in the first two days of the 2026 NFL Draft.

According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Chiefs are among the teams set to meet with Hurst before the draft kicks off on April 23:

The 6-4, 206-pound Hurst - who recently visited the Falcons, Saints, Dolphins, Colts and Vikings - clocked a 4.42 40 with an impressive 11-2 broad jump. He is a likely 2nd-round pick. pic.twitter.com/VoxlOQgfhl

While Kansas City isn't expected to target Hurst with either of its first-round selections, the Chiefs could show interest in acquiring the former Panthers star on Day 2 with the No. 40 pick.

Stay tuned to see if Hurst's meeting with Kansas City is an indication of legitimate interest from the Chiefs, or if general manager Brett Veach will decide to take his team in a different direction.
