During a recent appearance on 810 Radio, Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Trey Smith discussed the return of offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy.

"When I think of EB (Eric Bieniemy), I think about the first day at training camp. St. Joe's and that 90-degree weather, deep humidity in the morning, and just doing drills, man. He's just barking, just getting after guys. said Smith, "And, for me, it's more so like, EB is almost like a mindset and mentality. Finish. Introduce yourself. At the end of the day, we're presenting that we're going to be the aggressors. We're going to be physical. We're out here to dominate. We're not here to mess around. This is business. We're getting after you every single play until the whistle blows."

Bieniemy's tough coaching mindset has been criticized by some but praised by most of the league's better players. Smith welcomes his coaching style, and it has previously received approval from tight end Travis Kelce and quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Former Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy has recently moved on, being hired by the New York Giants.
