Veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has garnered interest around the league ahead of the 2026 season following his standout performance with Tom Brady at the recent Fanatics Flag Football Classic. The Kansas City Chiefs need roster depth, and both sides could be a short-term fit.
CBS Sports writer John Breech recently shared his reasons for the Chiefs to consider Beckham in his article detailing possible landing spots.
"If Andy Reid wants to add a veteran receiver to his roster, this would be his chance to do it. The team could look to reunite with Tyreek Hill, but if Reid doesn't want to go that route, then the Chiefs should definitely look at Beckham," wrote Breech. "The Chiefs already have Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, and Tyquan Thornton, but all three of those guys come with some major question marks. Thornton only caught 19 passes last season, and Worthy had a frustrating year with just 42 catches. As for Rice, he was accused of domestic violence in a lawsuit that was filed in February, and there's certainly a chance that could lead to some sort of punishment from the NFL."
During the course of his 10-year NFL career, Beckham has collected 575 receptions for 7,987 yards and 59 scores. The former first-round draft pick was a Pro Bowler three times in his first three years with the New York Giants and earned second-team All-Pro honors twice. He made stops with the Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Rams, Baltimore Ravens, and Miami Dolphins in 2024.
Beckham was an essential part of the Rams' Super Bowl win in 2021.
