The Kansas City Chiefs will be without one of their top playmakers when the team opens up organized team activities (OTAs) and mandatory minicamp. According to records from Dallas County, Texas, rising star wide receiver Rashee Rice has been sentenced to jail after violating his probation.
Rice tested positive for marijuana and has been ordered to serve 30 days in jail.
Testing positive for THC violates the terms of his plea agreement from the high-speed 2024 crash. which left Rice charged with a third-degree felony (racing on the highway causing bodily injury).

Last season, Rice appeared in eight games for the Chiefs after being suspended for the first six games of 2025, hauling in 53 catches for 571 yards and five touchdowns.

It will be interesting to see if Rice’s probation violation will lead to further punishment from the league.
