The Chicago Bears have addressed their vacancy at Center. Albeit not with a name most people were expecting.
Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Bears have reached an agreement with the New England Patriots for veteran center Garrett Bradbury. The reported cost is for a 2027 5th-round pick. This deal cannot be made official until the beginning of the new league year.

With free agency set to kick off in less than a week, we have witnessed an early start to the Bears’ retooling of their offensive line for the second straight year. In all, Garrett Bradbury (30) has started all 105 career games he has been able to make an appearance in since being drafted 18th overall by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2019 NFL Draft. So, at a minimum, he will be bringing with him experience as a backup option.
It remains to be seen whether or not this takes the Bears out of the sweepstakes for players such as Tyler Linderbaum or Connor McGovern.
