The Chicago Bears continue to invest in Ben Johnson’s vision with creating more competition across the entire roster. Following an impressive tryout, a homecoming and reunion are taking place simultaneously. A move that also adds another Super Bowl champion into their locker room.

Per Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey via Adam Schefter of ESPN the Bears have signed veteran receiver Scotty Miller. Scotty was most recently beamed up by the Pittsburgh Steelers following a one-year stay with the Atlanta Falcons. Terms of the deal were not publicly disclosed at the time this article was published.

The Barrington, IL. native returns home where he also grew up as a Bears fan during his youth. That’s not all – he’s reuniting with one of his former coaches from the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers of 2020. Between recent additions like Kalif Raymond, Zavion Thomas, and now Scotty Miller, the competition for their final few roster spots at receiver will only get more intense. Scotty himself still sports a respectable 12.3 yards per reception while entering his 8th year as a pro. This receiving corps is arguably the fastest ever assembled in Bears history.
