The Chicago Bears’ new stadium plans have stirred up a discussion.

Chicago has been home to the Bears since 1921, when the franchise relocated from Decatur, Illinois, and officially dropped the name Staleys.

Being a historic franchise, the Bears have an iconic stadium too. In this case, Soldier Field, which has been home to the Bears since 1971.

But more than 50 years later, the Bears are reportedly in conversations for a new stadium that could be combined with a relocation as well.

Are the Chicago Bears building a new stadium in Indiana?​

According to NFL insider Ben Devine, the Bears have announced a new stadium in Hammond, Indiana. Additionally, the user claims that the Bears will now have ‘Indiana’ in their name.


Devine also claims that the Bears will be unveiling their new rivalry uniforms as well, as part of their strategy to move away from the ‘C’ logo.

In reality, the Bears have made no such announcement. Moreover, no major publication has reported on what Devine claimed in his now-viral X post.

For what it’s worth, Hammond Mayor Tom McDermott has claimed that the Bears plan to make an announcement about a new stadium in Indiana soon. But at the time of writing, Devine’s report is nothing but a massive rumor.
