GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Los Angeles Chargers picked Pitt offensive tackle Branson Taylor with the 199th overall selection during the sixth round of the 2025 NFL draft Saturday.
At 6-foot-6 and 321 pounds, the Ohio native started 21 of 45 games with the Panthers.
He started the first six games at left tackle in 2024, then injured his knee against California Oct. 12 and missed the rest of the campaign. Taylor started 11 games in 2023, three at right tackle and eight at left tackle. He made four starts at left tackle and played in all 13 games in 2022. He played in 12 games as a reserve and on special teams (extra point and field goal team) in 2021. He played in the final three games of the 2020 season to preserve his redshirt.
Taylor is Pitt's first NFL draftee this year. Panthers tight end Gavin Bartholomew was picked three selections later in the sixth round.
