It looks like they watched that video of Eli Manning pretending to be a transfer at a college and decided let's make a movie. But looks interesting

in case my sarcasm didn't come through, that's literally what this is. It's the same character that Eli made in the video he did , but they made it into a show with someone other than Eli playing Chad Powers.

It actually looks funny though

I've binged it until the latest episode, and I like it a lot. It's not optimistic like Ted Lasso, but it shares some of the DNA of that show. Not a lot of focus on the other players on the team except the backup QB and one of the Wide Receivers, but that WR is definitely a cardboard cutout at this point.

Eli Manning cameo was a blink and you miss it, but it was pretty funny.

I like the show and some of the characters. Chad is hilarious.

Have not finished it but my problem is there doesn’t appear to be any scenario where this doesn’t end in disaster. The school will be punished, coach likely fired and Russ will have betrayed everyone around him.

It feels like the writers are completely writing the character and plot into a corner.

I get that feeling as well. I thought the last episode really felt like the beginning of the end to his scheme.

I've been 50/50 on it so far. The episodes that were more football focused were good but I could do without ones like the Spirit Halloween trip one.

I quite enjoyed the first season. Apparently the creators have three seasons mapped out. At only 6 episodes per season I think they could easily pull it off without much drag.
