On Sunday the Celtics visit the Suns for an early game. The game will begin around 12 noon.

The Celtics, 12-9, are on a five game road trip and this is their fourth game. So far they are 2-1 after beating the Clippers 119-115 on Friday night.

Suns are also 12-9 fresh off a win over the Pistons. The Celtics game will be the first game of back-to-back games as the Suns play the Cavaliers on Monday.

The game will be televised on FSAZ and NBA TV.

Start time is listed at 12 p.m. Arizona time (12 noon).

Big day tomorrow. Don't forget Super Bowl 55: Buccaneers vs. Chiefs at 4:30 p.m. on CBS.

As I mentioned on another thread, the Celtics went big against the Clippers starting centers Daniel Theis and Tristan Thompson. They also started power forward Grant Williams.

They also brought center Robert Williams and power forward Semi Ojeleye off the bench.

Nothing new on injury updates. Suns are said to be giving Cam Payne time to heal.

The Kings beat the Nuggets and the Knicks beat Portland today. Suns are now in 4th place in the West.

Please tell me again why the Suns passed on Haliburton.

I'm hoping someday the Suns get healthy.

Dario Saric and Cam Payne are OUT.

Jae Crowder is DOUBTFUL.

And Abdel Nader is PROBABLE.

Since the Suns play the Celtics and Cavaliers back-to-back it's hard to be optimistic about the Suns injury report improving for the game on Monday.

...
...I ask myself everytime I look at the Box scores...

Right now it's a two man race for ROY between Ball and Tyrese. Tyrese has been far more efficient on all ends, but Ball is producing better overall numbers.

PER:
Ball: 18.09
Tyrese: 17.61

Both look really good though, which shouldn't surprise anyone on this board since we talked them up for 10 months straight.

Jalen is still a good pick. When it comes to big men, patience is required.

Also, why did they pass on Jokic?

It's easier to understand the Suns passing on Jokic. A lot of teams passed on him as well as he was the 41st pick in the second round in 2014. Jokic was not a particularly athletic player.

I really like nadar kind of reminds me of a matt barnes

Ugh man miss saric he was playing so well off bench and payne

Nader reminds me of Dudley, from his first stint here. He was a throw in also in the Jason Richardson for Bell and Diaw deal with Charlotte. He was a dirt worker who hustled and did whatever was needed to get minutes. Of course in his second stint he was much older and heavier. His game changed a lot.

Haliburton was the BPA at #10. I think almost everyone was on board with this.

The forum was shocked when the Suns passed on him. The rumor was that he only wanted to play for the Kings.

I wanted Halliburton also but it makes sense why they didn't take him. They already had Payne locked in and planned to resign Carter. So there wasnt a real need for another PG. Jalen Smith actually filled a need, although he wasn't the best player available.

I don't want to revisit the Chris Paul trade but Rubio, Haliburton and Payne would look really good now and into the future.

The NBA draft is so uncertain the later you go in the draft. A team can't walk away from the BPA which was Haliburton.
