The Celtics might've reached a point of no return with Jaylen Brown.

Boston reportedly offered Brown in a trade package for Giannis Antetokounmpo, only to watch the Milwaukee Bucks send the star forward to the Miami Heat on Monday night. Now, several reports indicate the Celtics will continue to look for ways to trade Brown as they seek to improve their roster this offseason.

During a "Get Up!" segment on Tuesday morning, ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania offered insight into where things could go from here.

"At minimum, the Celtics and Jaylen Brown will have hard conversations moving forward about the fallout from a trade that didn't happen," Charania said. "The second time in four years Jaylen Brown was offered in a trade for another player. Back in 2022, it was for Kevin Durant. ... You've gotta get a deal done if you're the Celtics."

One potential outcome is including Brown in a trade for New Orleans Pelicans forward Trey Murphy III, something Boston reportedly is interested in doing. Whether that would be an acceptable Plan B is up for debate.

Regardless, what the Celtics do with Brown will be among the more dominant NBA storylines throughout the rest of the offseason.
