Super Bowl LX didn’t just bring football’s biggest stage – it also delivered moments of connection and gratitude off the field.
Among those creating a memorable moment was Dallas Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb, who used the week in San Francisco to make a difference for a longtime fan.
His actions resonated well beyond football, touching on service and sacrifice. For the veteran at the centre of the gesture, it was a dream come true.
CeeDee Lamb surprises Air Force veteran with Super Bowl LX tickets
CeeDee Lamb teamed up with USAA and the Air & Space Forces Association as part of the NFL’s Salute to Service efforts to honor a decorated veteran.
The Cowboys’ wide receiver gifted Super Bowl tickets to Technical Sergeant Chris Ferrell, a US Air Force veteran and lifelong Cowboys supporter.
Ferrell and his wife, Lauren, were flown to San Francisco for the Super Bowl, thanks to Lamb’s surprise and the support of USAA.
During a meet-and-greet at the Salute to Service Lounge ahead of the game, Ferrell presented Lamb with his Purple Heart – the oldest active US military decoration awarded to those wounded or killed in combat.
The gesture brought together football fandom and deep personal gratitude in a powerful setting.

CeeDee Lamb’s fantastic 2025 season for the Dallas Cowboys
Lamb’s heartwarming gesture came after another standout year on the field.
During the 2025 season, he finished with 75 receptions for 1,077 yards and three touchdowns, marking his fifth consecutive campaign with more than 1,000 receiving yards.
His consistency has been even more impressive given the Cowboys’ passing landscape.
George Pickens also surpassed 1,400 receiving yards for Dallas, meaning Lamb produced elite numbers despite sharing targets in a dynamic offense.
That 2025 performance further cemented Lamb as one of the NFL’s premier playmakers.
It also showcased his ability to excel both on and off the field as he continues to represent the Cowboys and give back to the community.
