Boston Red Sox center fielder Ceddanne Rafaela said the team has a certain plan on offense amid their struggles.

The Red Sox have struggled to begin the year, especially offensively, but that changed on Wednesday in the second game of a three-game series against the Atlanta Braves.

Boston routed the Braves 8-0, and Rafaela said the plan was to just keep the line moving, which is what the team accomplished.

"Yeah, I think that's the plan, to keep moving the line and pass it to the other guy behind you,” said Rafaela postgame on Wednesday, who had three hits in the 8-0 win. “And then that's when big things like that happen.”

With the win, the Red Sox improved to 23-31 but remain in last place in the AL East.

Yet, Rafaela believes Boston can be in a good spot by the end of the year if they can continue to play as they did on Wednesday.

“I think it's awesome to see things turning our way,” Rafaela said. “And hopefully it keeps going like that. And like I said, we're going to be in a really good spot in September.”

The Red Sox will look for the series win on Thursday against the Braves, with first pitch set for 4:10 p.m. ET.
