The Cleveland Cavaliers ran into a wall in Game 1 against the Indiana Pacers. Right off the bat to begin the series, the Pacers have made it clear that they're for real and are a serious threat to the Cavaliers in the second round of the NBA playoffs.
Indiana went into Cleveland and pulled out a hard-fought 121-112 victory over the Cavaliers.
Darius Garland, the star Cleveland point guard, was unable to play in Game 1 due to a toe injury that has been bothering him. After the loss to the Pacers, it's clear that the Cavaliers need him back on the court as soon as possible.
Ahead of Game 2 on Tuesday night, a Cleveland insider revealed a very concerning update on Garland's health.
While appearing on 92.3 The Fan, Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com shared more details about where Garland is in his recovery and how much the toe injury is still bothering him.
"The toe is going to bother him," Fedor said. "He's got swelling in there. There's pain and every time he makes a sharp movement, he feels it."

Throughout the course of the regular season, Garland was a perfect No. 2 star alongside Donovan Mitchell. He averaged 20.6 points per game to go along with 6.7 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.2 steals, while shooting 47.2% from the floor and 40.1% from the 3-point line.
At this point in time, the report from Fedor makes it sound like Garland is not close to being back to full health and the injury could impact his entire series.
Game 2 is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday night. Garland's availability status for that game is unknown.
