Grant Salber, Marathon baseball: Salber notched two hits and one run for Marathon in their Division 2 state semifinal loss to Cedar-Grove Belgium.
Rhett Lamovec, Loyal baseball: Lamovec yielded four hits and three earned runs while striking out five in a state semifinal loss to Columbus Catholic.
Columbus Catholic snags 1st title: Columbus Catholic keys five-run inning to snag first-ever D4 title
Kayleb Pankratz, Columbus Catholic baseball: Pankratz contributed one hit and a team-high of two RBI in a 3-1 win over Loyal.
Mac Konieczny, Columbus Catholic baseball: Konieczny yielded six hits and one earned run while striking out nine in a 3-1 state semifinal victory over Loyal.
Tyler Hargraves, Columbus Catholic baseball: Hargraves belted the game’s most impactful hit of the day, with a triple that drove in three, helping Columbus Catholic capture their first state title.
Ryan Bernick, Columbus Catholic baseball: Bernick collected two hits and one RBI in the championship win over Petosi/Cassville.
