The Carolina Hurricanes, still riding high from their Stanley Cup win, are already looking ahead to next season.
The NHL shared the Hurricanes' preseason schedule.
The Stanley Cup champions will play four games prior to the regular season.
The first game is Sept. 20 against the Florida Panthers.

Then the Canes will host the Panthers on Sept. 22.
Then, on Sept. 24, they'll play the Nashville Predators in Greensboro, their home before moving to Raleigh.
"We are thrilled the Carolina Hurricanes will begin the defense of their Stanley Cup championship with their first appearance in Greensboro in 27 years," said Scott Johnson, Oak View Group general manager for First Horizon Coliseum, formerly known as the Greensboro Coliseum. "Making this even more special is that the game will be played in the home of the Greensboro Gargoyles, the Hurricanes' ECHL affiliate."
The Canes will round out the exhibition games in Nashville on Sept. 26.
Ticket information will be announced later.
The Hurricanes also announced on Thursday the roster and schedule for the team's annual Prospects Development Camp, which will be held at Invisalign Arena from June 28-July 2.
Carolina's 2026 Prospects Development Camp roster currently consists of nine players, including five forwards and four defensemen. Four players selected by the Hurricanes in the 2025 NHL Draft will attend, including second-round pick Charlie Cerrato, third-round pick Kurban Limatov, sixth-round pick Viggo Nordlund and seventh-round pick Filip Ekberg.
Also attending camp for the first time will be 2024 sixth-round selections Timur Kol and Roman Shokhrin. Players selected by the Hurricanes in the 2026 NHL Draft, which takes place Friday anbd Saturday, will also be invited to attend.
