The Houston Astros lost a major part of their outfield and batting rotation this week in shortstop Carlos Correa.

Correa shared on Wednesday that he recently suffered a torn tendon in his left ankle and will miss the rest of the 2026 season, per ESPN.

That's a gigantic setback for Astros fans who were hoping Correa could be part of another title chase for Houston. He won a title with the franchise in 2017. Now, the Astros will have to figure out life on the diamond without him.

Houston should be able to find a suitable replacement soon, if not one quite to Correa's talent level.
