I think the Cards show how much they've been under-rated and how much over-rated the Rams have been.

The Rams can't stop the Cards offense. If they put 8 in the box blake and the boys make them pay. If they don't, then the Cards run game gets rolling.

Leonard little gets "suckerpunched", so to speak.

The Rams offense sputters and cannot consistantly move the ball on the Cards.

What?
I don't see how the Cards can put up more than 24 points this game. Since each drive is 12 minutes long. Of course that only gives the lambs time for two field goals.

I agree with W. Mitchells prediction earlier. We match up well with them and I see the "hot of the packer win" Cardinals taking it in a controlling effort....

I see it 24-21, Gramatica hits a 47 yarder as time expires causing Brenda Warner to pull off her wig in pain. I say by week 10 there are going to be casualties as the Rams bandwagon catches fire and everybody tries to get off at the same time. The Warner era is just about over.

The Cardinals are able to stop/contain the Rams running game so Martz just continues to call pass plays all game long. I fear our DBs will be chasing their WRs all day and the lack of a pass rush makes Bulger look like the league MVP.

I hope I am wrong though and the Cardinals defense finally gets a couple of sacks and makes Bulger look ordinary but seeing is believing and frankly I ain't seen it.

Touchdowns by M.Shipp, B.Johnson, and Gilmore sneak the Cardinals past the Rams and overcome a huge day by Lamar Gordon (2TDs, 130 yds).

24-21 Cardinals, and someone gets ejected for a nasty, nasty, cheap hit. Our defense shows up it spurts. Turley starts complaining about the Rams.

Y'know - this could be a coming of age game for our team - or we could suck big time (as we have been apt to do) and then win next week vs. the Turds to continue to string us along, maybe beat the Ravens but get pounded by the Niners, and then lose to the Bengals and the season spirals downward..., but, I digress. This is (potentially) a very big game for the Cards. It ain't the Super Bowl, but if we win - we have established respect and will be favored for the first time this year vs. Dallas. I always pick my team, so GO BIG RED - we get an early lead, offense falters but Guillermo kicks a couple of late FGs, and we hang on again!

Sorry...Untimely penalties and turnovers cost this game.

Little Caeser can kick it deeper than the 10 yard line.

Rams come out on top at home, comming off a divisional loss.

Calvin gets shut out again as he is schooled by a very talented LT (O. Pace).

My guess is that we'll see more 3- 4 D with blitz packages along with aggresive hitting to force turn overs. Their RBS are green and prone to fumble.
I think that the key will be ball control, we'll need several long sustained drives using possesion routes and Hodgins getting some carries. Our two rookie WRs HAVE to hold on to the ball on the turf.
If we win the turn over battle as we did last week we come home in second place.

Rams 36 - Cards 21

Cards' D can't stop Rams.

Trying to keep the Rams offense off the field, the Cards' O gets too preoccupied with ball control and running the clock. In doing so, the Cards become too predictable, running on early downs, putting themselves in obvious passing situations on third down.

IMO, the Cards have the weapons to run an explosive offense, but IMO, they need to set the run up with the pass as opposed to vice versa.

Cardinals - 19
Rams - 17

Blake gets to kneel down to end the game again, Turley proves yet again that being a devout Mormon doesn't mean you can't be a cheap son-of-a-***** (Kyle is the Anti-John Tait), and Emmitt goes over 100 yards for the day with a TD.

Unfortunately, I don't see this one coming out good.

27-Rams
14 Cards

Cards forget they have two great RBs and don' run the ball. Matk my words, less than 25 carries and the Cards loose.

25 or more carries...Cards win 17-14
