Interested to see how this works financially.

He still has $5.5m owed to him this year (after removing what the Eagles still owe him and what he's already been paid). We don't have $5.5m in space so would have to come with a restructure/extension.

He's out of contract after this year so I'm assuming there must be a new deal in there too.

That’s def not a lot to give up
Here is the only part I will push back on. Now we are down our 4th round pick next year and our 5th round pick next year, we do not have a TE under contract and only have 2 CBs under contract. If there is not some sort of extension that comes from this, we will have given up two cost controlled players for nothing unless we win the Super Bowl.

Essentially, we have 5 draft picks and a roster of

1 RB under contract
3 WRs under contract (one being Andy Isabella)
0 TEs under contract
3 EDGE players under contract and one of them (Kennard) is likely to be cut
2 CBs under contract

He's owed 3.666 million for the rest of the season for 11 games remaining and we have about 2.5 million in cap space. We have to create a little over million. Tays salary is about 400k for the rest of the year, so that leaves about 600k. Not difficult it accomplish.

Where do you get $3.66m from? From what I can see his cap hit this year was $12.721m. Eagles have to swallow $4.221 of that leaving $8.5. With 11 games remaining that would be $5.5m.

I may well be wrong, probably am. Just wondering where you are seeing $3.5m.

Let’s get it!! Maybe an extension when Maxx comes back next year so we can have two stud TE’s?

But we are due to get comp picks. I think it actually washes out.
