But what if the phone rang and an NFL team was on the line. Would Shaw take that call?

"No. I would take it to say, 'Thanks, but no thanks., " he said. "For me and my family right now, Stanford is the perfect place for us. As I said, we're in the beginning of something I believe is truly special. I'm not ready, especially as a Stanford alum, to turn this over to anybody else. I love where we're at right now, and I'd love to be here for the foreseeable future."

He also has a ton of experience in the coaching/coordinator route on the NFL level too.

I think he'll wind up in the NFL sooner or later, but I don't think it's going to be this season.
