Jacksonville Jaguars' free agent safety Andrew Wingard will be playing elsewhere in 2026.

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Wingard is signing a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals for $3 million. Wingard can earn up to $4 million with incentives.

Wingard started at safety for the Jaguars last season, playing 1,000 defensive snaps on the season. He totaled 11 quarterback pressures with 89 total tackles, according to PFF.

In coverage, he allowed 30 completions on 45 targets, holding opponents to just 10.7 yards per catch. Wingard logged one interception and four pass breakups.

Why didn't the Jaguars re-sign Andrew Wingard?

Murray is still under contract, and we also saw the emergence of Antonio Johnson last season. He went from filling the third safety role to being someone that you don't want to take off the field.

Jacksonville also invested two draft picks into the safety position last offseason, selecting Caleb Ransaw and Rayuan Lane.

Wingard leaving will create a void to fill, but the Jaguars have options on the roster already to do so.
