Former Olympian and 49ers DL Lawrence Okoye, who worked out for the Patriots on Friday, signed to the Cardinals' practice squad, per source.

Each PS signing will have to trickle in through social media because the Cardinals don't officially announce their PS until it is full, which could be another day or two.

Brandon Bostick was the hard-luck Packers' TE who botched the catch of the Seahawks' on-side kick in the NFC Championship game. His heart-wringing story is here:

It's an unbelievable read.

I think it's great that the Cardinals are willing to give this young man a chance.

Feel bad for the guy because that's what people think about him when they see his name. The botched onside kick. He was pretty good until that point. The Bill Buckner of football. Hope he works for the cards

He's a pretty talented kid. He ran a 4.49 40 and jumped 36 inches coming out of college. He's still relatively new to the TE position and there was a point where GB had fairly high hopes for him. It would be great to see him develop on the practice squad and contribute at some point in the future.

Don't know if it matters, but it seems that we are going after quite a few players from other teams for our PS. I just read in the St. Louis Post Dispatch, that the Rams announced their PS and ALL players were from their own cuts.

Looking at the personel moves done by BASK I think a general trend must be that they are very confident i the 53 man roster. Doesn`t look like the PS is going to be used for insurance for weaker positions on the 53-man roster. Maybe a CB, ILB or a RB but besides that raw high ceiling guys.

3 out of 10 signed are corner backs. Glad Williams and Shipley made it.

Shipley looks WAY better to me than Brittan Golden; better receiver and better returner. And a significant plus is Shipley's attitude and work ethic; whereas Golden appears to whine everytime he is on the field.

Glad to see that the team followed the FB axiom, that if you have three QB's on your roster, you don't add another to the PS. My PS question is that if we need to add a CB to the '53', who will it be? Actually, a possible answer to that question is that we add a vet after Week One.

Agreed. I thought for sure Shipley would beat Golden out for the last spot. I am surprised no one scooped Shipley up.

I'll give BASK the benefit of doubt , while I agree that Shipley and Golden could have flipped , overall I like the list .
