Cardinals Host “Fan Fest 2004”
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Wednesday, April 28, 2004

Tempe, Arizona — The Arizona Cardinals invite fans to
come out and enjoy “Fan Fest 2004” (previously known as
Select-A-Seat) at the Cardinals training facility in
south Tempe (Warner and Hardy) on Saturday, May 1 from
2:00-5:30 p.m.

Fans will have the opportunity to watch Head Coach
Dennis Green and the 2004 Cardinals take the field and
practice from 3:15-5:00 p.m. Other activities offered
will include a Gatorade Junior Training Camp,
inflatables at the Ford Fun Zone, and a children’s
autograph session for kids 17 and under from 5:00-5:30
p.m. Cardinals cheerleaders and team mascot Big Red
will also be on hand to sign autographs.

Concessions will be available with proceeds going to
various charities and each fan in attendance will
receive a gift from the Cardinals.

Cardinal ticket sales representatives will be on hand
so fans can purchase tickets for the 2004 season,
upgrade their seating, or get information about the new
Cardinals Stadium in Glendale.

Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
Video cameras, alcoholic beverages, umbrellas, glass
bottles, banners, signs, flags, poles, tri-pods, and
animals aren’t permitted.

Admission and parking at the Cardinals facility are
both free. Additional free parking is available at the
Tempe Sports Complex north of the training facility and
at the Honeywell parking lot west of the facility.

Emmitt Smith’s autograph line will be subject to fans
first getting their merchandise authenticated by
WeTrak. The service, which is free of charge to
Cardinals fans on Saturday, enables Smith to protect
his signature by assuring fans of the legitimacy of
their collectibles.

Why did they move it from Sun Devil Stadium? I'd think they'd have a better chance of selling tickets if people could actually sit in them. Is there something else going on at the stadium on Saturday?

Maybe they are trying to get more people to show as a fan event instead of something that seemed to be for season ticket holders only?

I am thinking about taking the wife and kid out there.

I think they would enjoy that.
