I think we NEED either Suggs or Robertson...

But If Leftwich is there it is a no brainer.

Passing on DL will hurt us now... but

A good QB is the hardest position to fill, and it has the most impact... This would be a future pick, but it would be the better one in the long run IMO...

*sigh* he is gonna be there but we will pass on him.

Finally a franchise QB for the next 10 yrs, that can see over the line, pass out of the pocket, and we're gonna pass :(

Don't forget, a rocket arm and the ability to read defenses

Just a quick question:

I know that a ton of people on this board are infatuated with Leftwich, but has there ever, in print, been anything out of Cards camp or in the rumors section of any website of record that might suggest that the Cards are interested in him?

I know that Mac's said a couple times that he's a good interview, but I've never heard anything from anywhere except on this board that the Cards have anything more than the mildest interest in actually selecting Leftwich.

That being said, I give you Kerouac9's Lock of the Darft: The Arizona Cardinals will not select a quarterback in the first three rounds of the 2003 National Football League College Draft.

[Just for old time's sake. It's good to have you back, old friend.]

By the way, there are some doubters out there about Leftwich's arm on the deep ball. Apparently, there's a little flutter there. I don't know; I've never seen 'im.

The ability to read defenses is overrated, look at the success of Jake Plummer, Kordell Stewart, Quincy Carter, Jon Kitna, Stoney Case...err...nevermind...

Being the first candidate to run for the Suggian party, I must continue to tow the party line...
