One of the most viral moments from the 2026 Winter Olympics came in a rather unexpected area: cheating accusations in curling, a sport that doesn't typically bring such controversy.
A match between Canada and Sweden caught international attention last week when members of the Swedish curling squad accused their opponents, including Marc Kennedy, of touching their stone beyond the "hog line," the point where a team is no longer legally allowed to make contact.
Those accusations caused an NSFW back-and-forth exchange between the teams, with Kennedy denying any cheating — but the internet began digging into the allegations.
In the days since, videos of Kennedy allegedly double-touching his curling stone have gone viral, including some memes poking fun at the situation and Canada's curling controversy.

Ever since the clips of Kennedy's exchange with Sweden's curling team went viral, resulting in Olympics fans backing up the Swedish players by finding potential rule violations from Kennedy, there have been plenty of viral videos involving the Canadian curling star reaching his finger out to double-touch his stone.
Here's one of the original clips where Kennedy was accused of touching his stone beyond the hog line.
Kennedy's outstretched finger became the source of memes from there, such as a suggestion that he could be the reason for some figure skating falls — including U.S. star Ilia Malinin.
