Can we continue to win giving up 500 yards of Offense?

I was at my son's lacrosse tournament all day, so I have to admit that I only saw the last 5 minutes. All I could do was check the stats during the game, and they seemed to favor the Eagles. I LOVE the fact that we won and are now 6-1!!!! I did see that Peterson left injured in the 1st half too. Kudos to the Cardinals for overcoming so many injuries & still finding a way to win. Can we sustain this?? Either way, I'm loving it!

To be fair, the problem today was offense not defense. save 2 big plays we were very bad on offense and ARians was extremely conservative including not taking the FG attempt on the first drive.

The defense had issues obviously but considering that most of the 2nd half the Eagles started past their own 40, the D played well.

The lack of pass rush is this teams biggest issue. The ultimate challenge is next week IMO. The Oline, run game, play action passes & 3 damn good receivers of the Cowpies is on the horizon.

Hate em so go Big Red :newcards:

Yeah BA said in the post game presser his game plan almost lost it for us. Said the Eagles didn't show anything on D they planned for.

Hopefully the offense starts hitting soon because they are really inconsistent. And I thought the Oline was bad today.

There were a LOT of qb hurries on the Eagles. Its odd, this team pressures the QB constantly but gets few sacks. Bowles interior blitzes do mess with QB's head though. We don't get pressure from the outside where the QB cannot see. It comes from the middle, where he has a chance to throw it away. Foles threw the ball away alot.

Yes. If we can hold offenses the caliber of Philly to 20 points.

It was the old Raiders saying but it really applies to this team "Just win baby". That's exactly what they're doing.

I would add, during the Plummer years I said this constantly, if you turn the ball over you lose, if you don't turn it over, you can win even when you don't play well. This year we're not turning it over that much.

The turnovers decided this one for sure. Redzone turnovers are killers.

The Eagles out gained us in every statistical category, yet the Cards won the game.

Giving up no sacks is deceptive. Palmer took a couple hard hits early in the game which adversely affected his play. There were numerous occasions where he bailed out of the pocket with no pressure coming. Couple that with getting rid of the ball quick led to him completing below 50% of his throws.

The offensive struggles contributed to the defense wearing down.

The two Eagle turnovers inside the five took 14 points off the board.

What worried me going in were the tight ends but they were not any problem. The problem was getting beat too deep which is strange considering that the Eagles don't have a real deep threat but Macklin ate us alive today. To be honest not having CC isn't helping. I think getting him back will be a big, big help.
