Egypt has a golden opportunity to secure a spot in the round of 16 of the 2025 AFCON as early as this Friday, December 26, 2025, when they take on South Africa at 3pm GMT.

Group B of the 2025 AFCON could reveal its first secrets this Friday. After edging Zimbabwe 2-1 thanks to a stoppage-time goal from Mohamed Salah, the Pharaohs could punch their ticket to the next round today under certain conditions.
