CC already got a 15 yard penalty a couple of weeks ago for going low on Cam Newton, and now went low on Tannehill and tore his ACL. If we were as good as we were supposed to be and someone went low on Palmer and knocked him out, we'd be totally livid. Just saying.

He got blocked into the QB. If you watch the replay he even turned his body sideways to try to avoid contact to the knee. The main complaint about Campbell is that he's too nice, I think he's the last guy on our defense who would do this intentionally.

But he got the same treatmemt one year a go by julius Thomas
When u have tp.tackle a scrambler qb u have to tackle his legs, thats why he went low
Campbell is a good dude but in this sport the contact is everything, stop putting ridicolous rules, they are paid a lot, a injury can happen

Both times, Campbell was blocked and was falling into the QB when he hit the knee. They are not blatant attempts to injure. He both times got up and checked on the guy right away too

I wasn't trying to imply he was a dirty player - but intent or not if it becomes a habit he's not going to have a lot of friends around the league. And, if someone went low on Carson we'd be pissed if the season hadn't turned sour.

If I saw on the replay that the guy was shoved into carsons knee, i wouldnt be pissed at the guy who was shoved, no.

Both times, Campbell had more than enough time to flop and go down without making contact. I'm not saying that's what he should have done and you can see that the football player in him wouldn't allow him to do that. But that's what the league expects you to do. So to be consistent, they should have at least thrown the flags.

I'm not sure about you, but I've never been in a situation where I was 6'8", 300 lbs with superhuman strength, driving as hard as I possibly can into a similary sized man who is trying to stop me, then suddenly breaking free and falling forward while being pushed by that other huge guy. So I'll reserve judgement on whether CC had "more than enough" time to stop that momentum.

I watched the play a few times when it happened. People act like this was a situation where he got flung into the QB out of control. He took 2 or 3 steps before he got there. Easily enough time to take a dive. Again, I'm not saying he SHOULD have taken a dive. I'm just saying he COULD have taken a dive.

For a sport where 90% of the players end up on the ground on every play, it is pretty crazy to expect someone of that size to try and get away as opposed to making a play he is paid to do.

When you watch Calais play, especially this season because he fights so hard for a fat paycheck, you see that he is staying very low all the time. As we all know, low man usually wins in the trenches, and being 6'8'' you have to go really low to have a chance. Another great example who plays very low is Julius Peppers. There is no way Calais had bad intentions. Period.

he was coming off a block and you could see from the look on his face he didn't do it on purpose.

If if if. He doesn't play against us and he's not a dirty player so who really cares. Any dlineman trying to get a sack is going to hit a qb low from time to time. He's been in the league for how many years now without having the reputation of anything near a dirty player? I think his rep among the league is just fine.
