AUGUSTA, GA (WJBF)- School is out, and kids of all ages are out on the course looking to fine tune their golf skills at Forest Hills Golf Club.

This week marks the first of three camps this summer hosted by Augusta University golfers.
Kids ages 11-18 wrapped up playing nine holes at Forest Hills, focusing on their driving, chipping, and putting.

For many young golfers, they’re repeat customers, but some are first timers. All of them share two common goals, which is to have fun and get better.

” I really love the coaches, and just the campus, and how they treat people,” said 11-year-old Hunter Hicks.

“I’ve enjoyed it a lot, I’ve been playing with my friends, and having a great time. I’ve learned a couple of things like the bump and run, sand shots and prove my sand game and driving game,” said 12-year-old camper Grove Robbins.

The camp continues through Thursday. AU will have one more camp this month, and then another in July.
