Duke's Cameron Boozer was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, going to the Memphis Grizzlies. Ironically, the Grizzliers were sandwiched in between two of his dad's former NBA teams, the Utah Jazz and Chicago Bulls. Carlos Boozer spent 13 seasons in the NBA, six of which were with Utah and four with Chicago.

At the draft, Cameron was asked about the best piece of advice his father has given him throughout his career. His answer?

"To stay present," he said. "Every day is an opportunity to get better and attack the day. A lot of times you look forward, ten years, five years down the line, but capitalize on today and you're probably better off than if you were looking forward."

Heading into his rookie season, Boozer will hope to stay both present and grounded as he eyes the NBA Rookie of the Year Award. If he were to win it, he'd be the second consecutive Blue Devil to do so, with Cooper Flagg earning the honors last year over Kon Knueppel.
