SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Calvary Day and Portal boys basketball teams won first-round playoff games Wednesday at home.

Calvary Day defeated Wesleyan, 74-47. The Cavs will be at home Friday against Greater Atlanta Christian.

The game will be a reunion because Scepter Brownlee coaches GAC. Brownlee was the head coach for Calvary Day last season.

Portal got off to another hot start. The Panthers blazed past Twiggs County, 67-44. Portal will play the winner of Taylor County and Brooks County.

Savannah Country Day fell at home to Lovett, 67-49.
